Our heritage stonemasons and stonemason consultants carry out traditional stonework repairs to slate, sandstone and  gritstone, damaged stonework where  replacement new stone is not required or feasible.  Stonemason stone repairs to damaged stonemasonry include stone repairs to stone windows, stone lintels and stone pillars and a wide range of other stone repairs, all undertaken by our specialist heritage stonemasons and stonemason consultants

Stonemason stone repairs to damaged stone surfaces can be carried out by our heritage stonemasons to the stonework where it sits, as cosmetic repairs to stonework where the stonework has suffered damage by surfaces breaking away, or by fine surface cracking of stonework, such as window cills, stone windows and stone ornaments.  Stonemason repairs to cracks in stone or surface broken stone are carried out by our heritage stonemasons using bespoke lime mortars and or binding agents for stone

Our heritage stonemasons use specialist blended lime mortars of differing strengths to complete repairs to damaged stonemasonry such as repair to cracked stone lintel, repair to damaged stone window and repair to damaged stone corbel, along with many other stonemason repairs to damaged stone

Lime mortar repairs to stonemasonry on site are generally undertaken by our specialist heritage stonemasons using bespoke  hydraulic lime, water and a range of well graded aggregates along with natural pumice dust or fly ash to speed up or slow down setting times (called Pozzzolans) and any dyes to colour the lime mortar; the lime mortar mix can be adapted according to weather conditions for lime mortar pointing or stone damage surface repair by our specialist heritage stonemasons and stonemason consultants.

For stonemason stone repairs, where high tensile properties are needed in structural repairs, we use specialist stonemasonry stainless steel pins and bonding materials that enable our stonemasons to bind together the damaged stone item and provide a secure bond to the stonework, that can withstand weight and pressure; the stone repairs are often stronger than the stone items surrounding the stone repair.

The strong binding powers, speed hardening, ease of spreading and ability to be be pigmented and highly polished, make this stone repair material one of the most effective damaged stonework repair methods used by our specialist Heritage Stonemasons and stonemasonry consultants

Our heritage stonemasons and stonemason consultants carry out traditional slate, sandstone & gritstone stone replacement where  stone repair is not required or feasible.  Stonemason stone replacement  include stone copestones,  stone pillar tops, stone steps, stone windows, stone lintels  stone pillars and a wide range of other stone repairs, all undertaken by our specialist heritage stonemasons and stonemason consultants

Our Stonemason natural compatible stone replacement procedure in slate, sandstone or gritstone is  the most popular method for most larger stone repair projects, or stone indenting (piecing in) where structural instability is apparent.  Stone replacement and indenting are traditional stonemason methods used to replace stones or part stones in surrounding stonework, such as stone gutter sections, stone corbels, stone copestones, stone lintels.  A stone close match as possible to the original stone is sourced and worked by our stonemasons to achieve a stonemason stone repair that has both geological and dimensional compatibility to the surrounding stonework
